About the event

We are excited to invite you to this engaging seminar, where we will explore a critical question facing healthcare today:

"Given the current global burden of chronic diseases, what paradigm shift is required in healthcare to reverse this trend?"

Our esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Elizabeth (Beth) Frates, a renowned pioneer in lifestyle medicine, will address this pivotal issue and demonstrate how the principles of lifestyle medicine can transform healthcare. Dr. Frates will share insights into how lifestyle interventions can not only prevent but also reverse the growing prevalence of chronic diseases. This seminar will offer valuable knowledge about transitioning from a reactive, treatment-focused healthcare model to a more proactive, preventive approach.

Whether you're a healthcare professional, student, or anyone passionate about health and wellbeing, this seminar will provide practical applications and evidence-based strategies to support healthier living and long-term sustainable change.

Lifestyle Medicine for Patients and Providers will delve into the science behind each of the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress resilience, social connection, and avoidance of risky substances. The interaction between these pillars and their synergistic effects will also be explored. By the end of the talk, participants will feel even more inspired to follow these principles and promote them to others.
