About the Event
Description:
As women move through perimenopause, menopause, and the decades beyond, clinicians have a powerful opportunity to address both symptoms and long-term health. This clinician-focused webinar reframes midlife as a bridge: a biologically important transition that can become a practical window for improving cardiometabolic health, body composition, sleep, mood, cognition, function, and quality of life.
Dr. Michelle Tollefson will review evidence-informed lifestyle medicine strategies for menopause and healthy aging, with attention to nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress resilience, social connection, and avoidance of risky exposures. The session will also consider how lifestyle medicine can be integrated alongside appropriate medical therapies, including menopausal hormone therapy when indicated. Participants will leave with practical counseling language and a simple clinical framework for helping women take the next step toward healthspan, symptom relief, and thriving in midlife and beyond.
Note: A recording of this talk will be available after the event exclusively for SGLM members.
CME/CPE credits: Pending SMC, SNDA review
