I’ve always enjoyed the conversations I have with patients — not only hearing why they’ve come to see me, but learning what matters to them, what they believe in and how they live their lives. These conversations have shaped the way I think about health: it is so much more than treating an illness or symptom.

Early in my career as a Registered TCM Physician, I came to appreciate how important prevention and quality of life are, particularly through my work with seniors in community clinics. Many live with chronic conditions or pain without seeking help early, often because life and family take priority. This sparked my interest in Lifestyle Medicine and its emphasis on the many interconnected factors that shape health.

As a TCM Physician, I’m particularly curious about how TCM and Lifestyle Medicine can complement each other, and how this can be meaningfully integrated into clinical practice within the Asian context.

Outside clinical work, I volunteer with Trigen@SGH, supporting youths in becoming health advocates for seniors. I also enjoy creating things with my hands — from puzzles to handmade gifts and art projects.
