FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 1, 2026

SINGAPORE, August 22, 2026 — The Singaporean Society of Lifestyle Medicine (SGLM) and the Ageing SG have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU),establishing a framework to promote healthy ageing, healthy longevity, active lifestyles, preventive healthcare and lifelong wellbeing in Singapore.

The agreement was signed on August 15, 2026, by Dr Miina Öhman, President of SGLM and Dr June Tan Sheren, Co-Editor in Chief of Ageing SG. It took effect on August 22, 2026.

Under the MOU, the two organisations will explore collaboration across four main areas:

  • Education and professional engagement — co-organising seminars, workshops, webinars, conferences and other educational initiatives relating to healthy ageing, healthspan, Lifestyle Medicine and preventive healthcare.

  • Research and knowledge exchange — collaborating on research, surveys and public education while developing and sharing evidence based educational resources.

  • Community outreach — supporting programmes that equip individuals and communities with practical knowledge and strategies to live healthier, longer and more fulfilling lives.

  • Strategic collaboration and advocacy — facilitating interdisciplinary partnerships, identifying funding opportunities and advocating for policies that promote healthy ageing and Lifestyle Medicine.

The partnership brings together Ageing SG’s multidisciplinary approach to healthy ageing and SGLM’s expertise in evidence based Lifestyle Medicine. Through their combined knowledge, networks and community engagement, both organisations aim to make credible health information and practical lifestyle strategies more accessible to individuals and communities.

Both organisations will collaborate in good faith, maintain regular communication and appoint representatives for joint projects. The MOU creates no financial obligations, with any commitments relating to individual projects to be addressed through separate agreements.

The MOU will remain in effect for three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.

Through this collaboration, Ageing SG and SGLM reaffirm their shared commitment to helping more Singaporeans remain healthy, active, independent and socially connected throughout their lives.

Better together. United in purpose. Committed to healthspan and active ageing.
